Unizo Livia Awards

Tonight Unizo is handing out the annual Livia Award. With this award they want to put the focus on female entrepreneurs in Belgium. This year the 15th award will be handed out to someone who's been inspiring for all female entrepreneurs on all sorts of domains: innovation, creativity, diversity, environmental policy and so on.

In 2006, our CEO,
Miet Loix won the 2nd Livia Award when Entelec was undergoing it's first big wave of expansion. She was nominated by different colleagues and finally awarded by an independent jury, following in the footsteps of national journalist Phara De Aguirre. The award was one the first that gave recognition to a female CEO working in the ICT sector and the first for our company. It was a big surprise for Miet and the company then, and to this date it's still something to be proud of.

"We are more focussing on our brand and product, instead of the people running the company" said Miet in her acceptance speech. "So, I was surprised to be known as an entrepreneur in the first place. Still, I'm very thankfull for the recognition about the work we did." ~ Miet Loix, 2006

We wish tonights nominees success and and even brighter future!
