What is Access Control integration?
The integration of access control systems in a central monitoring software tool is gaining more and more importance. In its core, access control systems are designed to either grant or restrict access to certain types of users within an infrastructure. Many organizations have access control systems in place that require badges or key-cards to access certain areas or rooms based on the individual's access rights. This allows for maintaining a high level of security at all times.
However, large organizations require a lot of access systems, restricted areas and so on, to be implemented. Sometimes, the amount of integrated systems and data gathered from them can be overwhelming. This is especially true when visitors are taken into account as well. Our open integration platform Sky-Walker is capable of centralizing the access control systems in one, easy-to-use interface. While, at the same time, also being able to manage visitors easily and quickly.

Customize access rights
Customizing access rights for different users of your facilities becomes an easy task with our Sky-Walker open integration platform. Certain areas can be restricted or granted in terms of access rights depending on the individual user. Also, users can request access to a certain restricted area. An event will pop-up after which the Sky-Walker operator can grant or deny access.
Higher level of security
The centralization aspect of our open integration platform Sky-Walker enables your organization to maintain a much higher level of security. All the access control systems are easily accessible and are shown in a very intuitive user interface. Most actions regarding access control can be taken with only a click of a button.
Better evacuation processes
In case of an emergency, it's very important to know how many people are in the organization's facilities. With Sky-Walker, an overview of all the people that are present is always within one button clicks reach. This makes for a much more efficient and safer evacuation process. Also, doors and elevators can be commanded to open or close from behind the screen if needed.
Access Control system within Sky-Walker
An access control system is perfectly capable of functioning on its own, but using it in conjunction with other systems such as fire detection and CCTV can take the entire safety, security and building management processes to a completely new level. For instance, in the event of a fire alarm, all doors can be automatically opened with just the touch of a button to ensure maximum evacuation capability.
We integrate all these different types of systems into one, intuitive and easy-to-use interface. Access control system is connected to the Ethernet either directly or via a converter to enable communication with the integration software Sky-Walker. Subsystems work intelligently and transmit information directly to Sky-Walker.
