This past year has probably been the weirdest one ever experienced at Entelec. Since 1992, we had only known animated and lively days at our different offices in Belgium, France and Netherlands. Employees were often travelling from one office to the other in order to keep in touch with one another. But, since the beginning of the pandemic, empty offices and online Teams meetings have taken over our corporate environment. This has definitely not been the greatest help for our employees’ morale. As we usually organize a team building event around July, we decided to reunite our teams in one place following the pandemic prevention guidelines set by our government. Even though the crisis is not fully over yet, on Thursday 8th and Friday 9th July, we were able to experience a glimpse of some sort of normal life thanks to our quarterly meeting.
On Thursday, some of us had to drive for a few hours to reach our HQ in Diepenbeek, Belgium. But by the end of the day, everyone arrived safe and sound. During the evening, the different teams from Belgium, Netherlands and France gathered altogether at the restaurant the Grand Café Drugstore, in the city center of Hasselt. Even though we were only allowed to sit with four per table, we still enjoyed a nice meal and good conversations. It felt like we were never really apart. Per usual, our sales guys made everyone laugh like old times. It was also the perfect occasion for new employees to get acquainted with the whole Entelec family.
Therefore, the presentation naturally started with the introduction of our new and soon to be team members. As Entelec keeps growing, many new employees have been hired to support the existing teams. So, we added new faces to our sales, marketing and operations teams with the hope that these new assets will help to achieve our vision at Entelec.
We continued the presentation by going over our mission statement “Building Software That Matters” and our vision “Making building managers all over the world the best pilots ever”. Management then went over our operational heartbeat and reviewed what has been done in 2021 so far in comparison to what was originally planned. For Q1 and Q2, there was a strong focus regarding the implementation of a marketing driven sales force and the integration of improved product management, of which all have successfully been accomplished. We also rolled out the next steps for our development, operations, sales and marketing departments in the upcoming months. During Q3 and Q4, the emphasis will be put on our sales and operations teams with the aim of integrating a new support organization for next year.
Following this, our marketing specialist presented the social media strategy implemented for our B2B company and raised awareness regarding the importance of interacting with our content across all platforms. Every like and share will increase the brand awareness surrounding Entelec. Management also showed metrics which supported the importance of our website and its optimization strategy as it is the first window into our company. Then our internal IT consultant told us more about cybersecurity risks we might facing on a daily basis and how to avoid them. Lastly, our product and development teams gave an overview of the most recent and upcoming Sky-Walker releases design and performance wise. Therefore, keep in touch with us because our product is far from having reached its full potential.
